Mindray has instilled in this system some of the most diverse and advanced imaging technologies available today. Included in the M9's capacity is EchoBoost Cardiac Image Optimization (to enhance cardiac images). It also includes Needle Visualization, Stress Echo, AutoITM and Compound Imaging. It is also compatible with single crystal probes that provide higher quality ultrasound imaging.
The M9 is extremely versatile for a few reasons: Firstly, it is compatible with a rolling ultrasound cart, so that it can be used both in stationary (doctor's office, hospital, etc.), or portable (emergency room, ambulance) scenarios. Any sort of diagnostician can employ it in nearly any scenario.

EchoBoost is a premier technology application that enhances cardiac ultrasound images.
Single crystal probes employ single crystal elements to produce better quality ultrasound images. Most other probes are multi-crystal, and rely on one another to produce quality images.
iClear is Mindray’s name for speckle reduction imaging. Speckle Reduction Imaging works by changing the frequency of the sound into different beams (as opposed to one stronger blast). This lowers the speckle that echoes back to the image, for the larger the beam, the more speckle. Another method includes lowering the beam’s power entirely – sacrificing slight image resolution but also preventing more speckle damage from perverting the image.
The M9 is a shared service system, and therefore is capable of projecting images for a whole array of applications. These include Abdominal, Anesthesia, Breast, Musculoskeletal, OB-GYN, Pediatrics, Small Parts, Superficial, Thyroid, Transcranial and Urological applications.
