The refurbished Sonosite PX ultrasound system is one of Sonosite's newest and premier models. The interface combines touch and physical controls for improved efficiency, while the adaptable horizontal-to-vertical work surface allows for optimal bedside ergonomics. Sonosite’s most advanced image clarity to more accurately visualize sonographic landmarks and voice control for optimal patient care.

As a point of care ultrasound, the PX is primarily employed for 

  • Emergency medicine, for FAST exams, trauma, and quick bedside assessments
  • Anesthesia, for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks (a big selling point)
  • Critical care / ICU, for heart, lung, and fluid checks
  • Vascular access, for guiding IV and central lines
  • Musculoskeletal and sports medicine, for joint and tendon imaging and guided injections

The PX is also capable of producing images for cardiac, TEE (transesophageal), and OB-GYN exams.
